Amazon Storefront Design: A Mobile Review Checklist
Use this Amazon storefront design checklist to review navigation, product groups, imagery and mobile layouts before you publish your Brand Store.
Amazon storefront design is about helping visitors find a relevant product range and understand the brand behind it. A strong desktop presentation is only part of the job. Review the mobile experience as a separate step before publishing or updating your Brand Store.
Start with a clear route through the store
Amazon Brand Stores can include multiple pages and product collections. Amazon’s Brand Store guide covers setup, mobile previews and performance reporting. Use the current Store builder and creative specifications when preparing your assets.
For planning, sketch a simple route: entry page, category or collection, then a relevant product. Name sections using language a shopper can understand without knowing your internal catalog. A small range may need fewer sections than a catalog with several distinct uses.
Check what a visitor sees first
Look at the first screen on a phone. Can a visitor identify the brand and the type of products available? Is the next action obvious? A large decorative banner may look impressive while pushing the useful navigation too far down the page.
Our suggested review is to ask someone unfamiliar with the layout to find a specific product type. Observe where they hesitate. The goal is to identify confusing labels and missing paths, rather than judge the design only by appearance.
Review each module at mobile size
- Check headline readability without zooming.
- Confirm crops retain the important product details.
- Review the order in which text and images appear.
- Check every product tile leads to the intended item.
- Remove outdated promotions and unavailable selections.
- Make category names and visual styling consistent.
Keep a record of changes
Before a redesign, record the current structure and the questions you want the new version to answer. After launch, use the reporting available in your account to review performance over a meaningful period. Keep traffic sources and other changes in mind; a difference in sales alone does not prove the design caused it.
